✧ Idris ﷺ was a friend of the Angel of Death. He asked him to show him Paradise and Hellfire. So he ascended with Idris and showed him Hellfire, and he was terrified by it and nearly fainted. The Angel of Death wrapped him with his wing. The Angel of Death said: “Have you not seen it?” He said: “Yes, and I have never seen the like of it before.” Then he took him until he showed him Paradise, and he entered it. The Angel of Death said to him: “Have you not seen it?” He said: “Yes, by Allah, this is Paradise.” The Angel of Death said to him: “Come, you have seen it.” He said: “Where to?” The Angel of Death said: “To where you were.” Idris said: “No, by Allah, I will not leave it after having entered it.” It was said to the Angel of Death: “Did you not enter him into it? Indeed, no one who enters it may leave it.”
