✧ The scholars of this nation are two men: a man whom Allah gave knowledge, and he gave it freely to the people and did not take any gain for it nor buy any price with it—for him the fish of the sea, the beasts of the land, and the birds in the air seek forgiveness, and he will come before Allah as a noble master until he accompanies the messengers. And a man whom Allah gave knowledge, but he withheld it from Allah's servants, took gain for it, and bought a price with it—that one will be bridled on the Day of Resurrection with a bridle of fire, and a caller will call out: "This is the one whom Allah gave knowledge but he withheld it from Allah's servants, took gain for it, and bought a price with it," and so on until the reckoning is finished.
