✧ We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at a funeral, and he saw some people who had thrown off their cloaks and were walking in their shirts. He said, “Are you adopting the practice of the Jahiliyyah, or are you imitating the ways of the Jahiliyyah? I was about to invoke against you a supplication that you would return in forms other than your own.” So the people took their cloaks and put them back on.”
