حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نُوحِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، ثَنَا عَمِّي مَنْصُورُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شِمْرِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ:

أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ بِنِطْعٍ مِنَ الْغَنِيمَةِ، فَقِيلَ: اسْتَظِلَّ بِهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَقَالَ: تُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَسْتَظِلَّ بَيْنَكُمْ بِظِلٍّ مِنْ نَارٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ؟

✧ On the Day of Badr, the Prophet ﷺ was brought a leather mat from the spoils, and it was said, “Shade yourself with it, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “Would you like for one among you to shade himself with a shade of fire on the Day of Resurrection?”
