✧ While I was traveling with the Messenger of God ﷺ, his mount descended with him from a mountain pass, and the Messenger of God ﷺ was riding alone. When the road became easy for him, he laughed and said the takbir, so we said the takbir because of his takbir. Then he rode a short distance, then laughed and said the takbir, so we said the takbir because of his takbir. Then we caught up with him, and the people said: O Messenger of God, we said the takbir because of your takbir, but we do not know why you laughed. He said: Jibril ﷺ led the she-camel for me, and when the road became easy, he turned to me and said: Rejoice and give glad tidings to your community that whoever says: There is no god but God alone, with no partner, will enter Paradise, and God has forbidden the Fire for him. So I laughed and said the takbir, and I rejoiced for my community.
