حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ سَوَّادٍ السَّرْحِيُّ، ثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ يَعْلَى، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

أَوْحَى اللهُ إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ: يَا خَلِيلِي حَسِّنْ خُلُقَكَ، وَلَوْ مَعَ الْكَافِرِ، تَدْخُلُ مَدْخَلَ الْأَبْرَارِ، فَإِنَّ كَلِمَتِي سَبَقَتْ لِمَنْ حَسُنَ خُلُقُهُ أَنْ أُظِلَّهُ تَحْتَ عَرْشِي، وَأَنْ أَسْقِيَهُ مِنْ حَظِيرَةِ قُدْسِي، وَأَنْ أُدْنِيَهُ مِنْ جِوَارِي

✧ Allah revealed to Ibrahim: 'O My intimate friend, improve your character, even with the disbeliever, and you will enter the abode of the righteous. For My word has preceded that whoever has good character, I will shade him under My Throne, give him to drink from the enclosure of My Holiness, and bring him near to My proximity.'
