✧ A group from the tribe came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and heard him say: "The one among you with the most Qur'an should lead you in prayer." So they put me forward among them while I was a boy, and I used to lead them in prayer in a patched burdah, and it was tight, so when I prostrated my buttocks would show. They said to my father: "Will you not cover his buttocks from us?" And I used to encourage them to learn the Qur'an." Zuhayr said: "He remained the imam of his people in prayer and over their funerals."
