حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّافِعِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

الدِّينَارُ بِالدِّينَارِ، وَالدِّرْهَمُ بِالدِّرْهَمِ، لَا فَضْلَ بَيْنَهُمَا، فَمَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ حَاجَةٌ بِذَهَبٍ فَلْيَصْرِفْهَا بِوَرِقٍ، وَمَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ حَاجَةٌ بِوَرِقٍ فَلْيَصْرِفْهَا بِذَهَبٍ، هَاءَ وَهَاءَ

Translation

✧ A dinar for a dinar, and a dirham for a dirham, no excess between them. Whoever has a need for gold should exchange it for silver, and whoever has a need for silver should exchange it for gold, hand to hand.
