حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ شِبْلٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، قَالَ: ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مُزَاحِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

فِي قَوْلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: مَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلا قَلِيلٌ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَا مِنْ أُولَئِكَ الْقَلِيلِ مكسمليثا، وَتمليخا وَهُوَ الْمَبْعُوثُ بِالْوَرِقِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ، وَمرطولس، وَيثبونس، وَذرتونس، وَكفاشطيطوس، وَمنطنواسيسوس وَهُوَ الرَّاعِي، وَالْكَلْبُ اسْمُهُ قِطْمِيرٌ، دُونَ الْكُرْدِيِّ، وَفَوْقَ الْقِبْطِيِّ، لَا أَظُنُّ فَوْقَ الْقِبْطِيِّ

✧ Regarding the statement of God, Mighty and Majestic: 'None knows them except a few,' Ibn 'Abbas said: I am among those few: Maksamlitha, Tamlikha - and he is the one sent with the silver coins to the city - Martulas, Yathbunus, Dhartunus, Kafashtitiyus, Mantunawasisus - and he is the shepherd - and the dog's name is Qitmir, below the Kurdish dog and above the Egyptian dog; I do not think above the Egyptian dog.
