✧ I came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and caught up with him at al-Baqi', and I heard him say, "Peace be upon the inhabitants of these dwellings among the believers." My sandal strap broke, and he said, "Raise your foot." I said, "O Messenger of God, my solitude has grown long and I have been far from my people's abode." He said, "O Bashir, will you not praise God who took you by the forelock to Islam from among Rabi'ah—a people who think that were it not for them, the earth would overturn with all upon it?"
