Translation

✧ When al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī wanted to go out to Iraq, Ibn ʿUmar said to him: “Do not go out, for the Messenger of God ﷺ was given the choice between this world and the Hereafter, and he chose the Hereafter, and neither you nor anyone of your descendants will attain it.” When he insisted on going out, Ibn ʿUmar said to him: “I entrust you to God from being killed.”
