حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ أَبُو حَصِينٍ الْقَاضِي، قَالَ: نَا عَوْنُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ، قَالَ: نَا عِيسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ، قَالَ:
قَالَتْ لِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ: أَيُسَبُّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِيكُمْ عَلَى الْمَنَابِرِ ؟ قُلْتُ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، وَأَنَّى يُسَبُّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَتْ: أَلَيْسَ يُسَبُّ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَمَنْ يُحِبُّهُ ؟ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُحِبُّهُ.

✧ Umm Salamah said to me: "Is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reviled among you on the pulpits?" I said: "Glory be to Allah, how could the Messenger of Allah ﷺ be reviled?" She said: "Is not 'Ali b. Abi Talib reviled, and those who love him? I bear witness that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to love him."
