حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ قَالَ: نَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَائِشَةَ التَّيْمِيُّ قَالَ: نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ وَقَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ. عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:

أَخَّرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ، حَتَّى نَامَ الْقَوْمُ، ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظُوا، فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ، فَقَالَ: الصَّلَاةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، " فَخَرَجَ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَنَّهُمْ تَوَضَّئُوا

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ delayed the 'Isha' prayer one night until the people slept, then they woke up. 'Umar came and said: 'The prayer, O Messenger of God.' So he went out and led them in prayer, and he did not mention that they performed ablution.
