حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ الْأَوْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ حَنَشِ بْنِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ قَالَ:

رَأَيْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ وَهُوَ آخِذٌ بِحَلْقَةِ الْكَعْبَةِ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: أَنَا أَبُو ذَرٍّ الْغِفَارِيُّ، مَنْ لَمْ يَعْرِفْنِي فَأَنَا جُنْدُبٌ الْغِفَارِيُّ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَثَلُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي مَثَلُ سَفِينَةِ نُوحٍ، مَنْ رَكِبَهَا نَجَا، وَمَنْ تَخَلَّفَ عَنْهَا غَرِقَ

Translation

✧ I saw Abu Dharr holding the ring of the Ka'bah and saying: 'I am Abu Dharr al-Ghifari; whoever does not know me, I am Jundub al-Ghifari. I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: The likeness of my household is the likeness of Noah's ark; whoever boarded it was saved, and whoever stayed behind drowned.'
