حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّهَرُتِيرِيِّ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ الدِّهْقَانُ، ثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ وَعِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

الْإِمَامُ ضَامِنٌ، وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ، اللَّهُمَّ أَرْشِدِ الْأَئِمَّةَ وَاغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤَذِّنِينَ

✧ The imam is a guarantor, and the muezzin is a trustee. O God, guide the imams and forgive the muezzins.
