حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ قَالَ: نَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ الْبَرَّاءُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَيَّاحُ بْنُ سَرِيعٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُجَاهِدٌ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا كُوفِيًّا سَأَلَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ، فَوَضَعَ إِصْبَعَيْهِ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ، وَقَالَ: صُمَّتَا إِنْ كَذَبْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: الْمِذْرُ كُلُّهُ حَرَامٌ، أَسْوَدُهُ، وَأَحْمَرُهُ، وَأَخْضَرُهُ، وَأَبْيَضُهُ

✧ A man from Kufa asked Ibn Abbas about nabidh made in earthenware jars. He placed his fingers in his ears and said: “May they be deaf if I lie about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I heard him say: ‘All of the mizr is forbidden: its black, red, green, and white.’”
