حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الْمُرَادِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

« زَيْنَبُ خَيْرُ بَنَاتِي أُصِيبَتْ فِيَّ ». فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ حُسَيْنٍ، فَأَتَاهُ فَقَالَ: مَا حَدِيثٌ يَبْلُغُنِي عَنْكَ تَنْتَقِصُ فِيهِ فَاطِمَةَ ؟ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ: مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي كَذَا وَكَذَا، وَإِنِّي أَنْتَقِصُ فَاطِمَةَ حَقًّا هُوَ لَهَا، فَأَمَّا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَلَكَ عَلَيَّ أَنْ لَا أُحَدِّثَ بِهِ أَبَدًا

✧ Zaynab is the best of my daughters; she was afflicted because of me. This reached Ali b. Husayn, who came to him and said: What is this hadith that reaches me from you in which you diminish Fatima? Urwa said: I would not like to have such and such, and I am diminishing Fatima in a right that is hers. But after this, I promise you never to narrate it again.
