Translation

✧ I went out to battle with a companion of mine, and ʿAbd Allah b. ʿUmar accompanied us to bid farewell. When he was about to part from us, he said: "I have no money to give you, but I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'When Allah is entrusted with something, He preserves it. I entrust Allah with your religion, your trusts, and the endings of your deeds.'"
