حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ قَالَ: نَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ ضِرَارٍ الْفَزَارِيُّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ قَبِيصَةَ الثَّقَفِيُّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَسَدِ الْعَبْقَسِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْغَسِيلِ قَالَ:

كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَمَرَّ بِالْعَبَّاسِ، فَقَالَ: " يَا عَمُّ، اتْبَعْنِي بِبَنِيكَ " فَانْطَلَقَ بِسِتَّةٍ مِنْ بَنِيهِ: الْفَضْلِ، وَعَبْدِ اللهِ، وَعُبَيْدِ اللهِ، وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَقُثَمَ، وَمَعْبَدٍ، فَأَدْخَلَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَيْتًا، وَغَطَّاهُمْ بِشَمْلَةٍ لَهُ سَوْدَاءَ، مُخَطَّطَةٍ بِحُمْرَةٍ وَقَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ هَؤُلَاءِ أَهْلُ بَيْتِي وَعِتْرَتِي، فَاسْتُرْهُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ كَمَا سَتَرْتُهُمْ بِهَذِهِ الشَّمْلَةِ " قَالَ: فَمَا بَقِيَ فِي الْبَيْتِ مَدَرٌ وَلَا بَابٌ إِلَّا أَمَّنَ

✧ I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he passed by al-ʿAbbās and said: “O uncle, bring your sons and follow me.” He went with six of his sons: al-Faḍl, ʿAbd Allāh, ʿUbayd Allāh, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, Qutham, and Maʿbad. The Prophet ﷺ brought them into a house and covered them with a black cloak of his, striped with red, and said: “O Allah, these are the people of my house and my family, so shield them from the Fire as I have shielded them with this cloak.” He said: “No mud brick or door remained in the house but that it said ameen.”
