✧ On the day of Uhud, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Saʿd b. Abī Waqqāṣ: “Take charge of the throats of the people—may my father and mother be your ransom.” Saʿd would place his arrow in the center of his bow and say: “O Allah, Your arrow and in Your cause; O Allah, grant victory to Your Messenger.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “O Allah, answer Saʿd when he calls upon You.”
