حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ بَهْرَامَ بِالرَّيِّ قَالَ: وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ، وَصَلَّى الصَّلَوَاتِ بِوُضُوءٍ وَاحِدٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ: لَقَدْ صَنَعْتَ شَيْئًا لَمْ تَكُنْ تَصْنَعُهُ ؟ قَالَ: عَمْدًا صَنَعْتُهُ يَا عُمَرُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution, wiped over his leather socks, and prayed all the prayers with a single ablution. ʿUmar said to him, "You have done something you did not use to do." He said, "I did it deliberately, O ʿUmar."
