حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عِصَامُ بْنُ رَوَّادِ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ قَالَ: نَا أَبِي قَالَ: نَا خُلَيْدُ بْنُ دَعْلَجٍ، عَنْ مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى ابْنَ عُمَرَ، فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ ؟ فَقَالَ: " ذَاكَ مِمَّا حَرَّمَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ "، فَأَتَى ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِمَا قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ، فَقَالَ: صَدَقَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ.

✧ A man came to Ibn ʿUmar and asked him about nabīdh made in earthen jars. He said: “That is among what God and His Messenger have forbidden.” Then he came to Ibn ʿAbbās and informed him of what Ibn ʿUmar said, and Ibn ʿAbbās said: “Ibn ʿUmar spoke the truth.”
