حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ قَالَ: نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ: نَا مِسْكِينُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي حُرَّةَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

خَيْرُ مَاءٍ عَلَى وَجْهِ الْأَرْضِ مَاءُ زَمْزَمَ، فِيهِ طَعَامٌ مِنَ الطُّعْمِ، وَشِفَاءٌ مِنَ السُّقْمِ، وَاللهِ مَا عَلَى وَجْهِ الْأَرْضِ مَاءٌ شَرٌّ مِنْ مَاءِ بِئْرٍ بِوَادِي بَرَهُوتَ، كَرِجْلِ الْجَرَادِ مِنَ الْهَوَامِّ، يُصْبِحُ يَتَدَفَّقُ وَيُمْسِي لَا بِلَالَ بِهَا

✧ The best water on the face of the earth is the water of Zamzam; in it is food that nourishes and a cure for illness. By Allah, there is no water on the face of the earth worse than the water of a well in the valley of Barhut; it is like the legs of locusts from the vermin, flowing in the morning and dry by evening, with no moisture in it.
