حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ: نَا الْمِنْهَالُ بْنُ بَحْرٍ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْعُقَيْلِيُّ قَالَ: نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَجَدَ يَوْمًا أَلَمًا، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ قَالَتْ: فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ اللهَ سَيُقَمِّصُكَ قَمِيصًا فَإِنْ أَرَادُوكَ عَلَى خَلْعِهِ فَلَا تَخْلَعْهُ، فَقِيلَ لَهَا: فَأَيْنَ كُنْتِ، لَمْ تَذْكُرِي هَذَا ؟ قَالَتْ: " نَسِيتُهُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ felt pain one day and sent for ʿUthman. She said, 'I heard him say, "Allah will clothe you with a shirt. If they want you to remove it, do not remove it."' She was asked, 'Where were you? Why did you not mention this before?' She said, 'I forgot it.'
