✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach us istikhārah for a matter just as he taught one of us a sūrah from the Qur'an: “O Allah, I ask You to choose for me by Your knowledge, and I ask You to grant me ability by Your power, and I ask You of Your great bounty; for You are able and I am not able, and You know and I do not know, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if there is good in this matter for my religion, my worldly life, and the outcome of my affair, then decree it for me; and if other than that is better for me, then make good easy for me wherever it may be, and turn away evil from me, and make me content with Your decree.”
