حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْكُمَيْتِ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادِ بْنِ فَرْوَةَ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ الْحَنَّاطُ، عَنْ عَوْفٍ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ زَاذَانَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ:
خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي جِنَازَةِ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَانْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى الْقَبْرِ، وَلَمَّا نَلِجُهُ، فَجَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَجَلَسْنَا حَوْلَهُ كَأَنَّمَا عَلَى رُءُوسِنَا الطَّيْرُ "،

✧ We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for the funeral of a man from the Anṣār. We reached the grave, but it had not yet been dug. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat down, and we sat around him, as if birds were on our heads.
