✧ He saw Salman al-Farisi while he was stationed at the coast of Hims, and he said, “What is this?” He said, “A frontier guard.” Salman said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “Ribat for a day in the path of Allah is like fasting a month and standing in prayer during it. Whoever dies as a frontier guard, the reward of the deeds he used to do continues to flow to him, and he is safe from the trial, and he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection as a martyr.”
