✧ I came to Madinah and entered the mosque for the 'Asr prayer. I advanced to the first row, but a man came, took me by the shoulder, and moved me back, taking my place after the imam had already said the takbir and I had said the takbir. When we finished the prayer, he turned to me and said: 'I only moved you back because the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us that the Muhajirun and Ansar should pray in the first row, and I knew you were not one of them, so I moved you back.' I asked: 'Who is this?' They said: 'Ubayy b. Ka'b.'
