حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّصِيبِيُّ قَالَ: نَا مَيْمُونُ بْنُ الْأَصْبَغِ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ قَالَ: نَا مِسْعَرُ بْنُ كِدَامٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ:

قَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، هَذَا السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ قَدْ عَرَفْنَاهُ، فَكَيْفَ الصَّلَاةُ ؟ قَالَ: " قُولُوا: اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ، اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

✧ A man said: “O Messenger of Allah, we know how to greet you with salam, but how should we invoke blessings upon you?” He said: “Say: O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent prayers upon Ibrahim. Indeed You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim. Indeed You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.”
