حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ، قَالَ: نَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ النُّمَيْرِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ مِسْمَارٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِضَمْرَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أُنَيْسٍ:

مَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِأَبِيكَ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ ؟ فَقَالَ: كَانَ أَبِي صَاحِبَ بَادِيَةٍ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مُرْنِي بِلَيْلَةٍ أَنْزِلُ فِيهَا، فَقَالَ: انْزِلْ لَيْلَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ فَلَمَّا وَلَّى قَالَ: " اطْلُبْهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ

✧ What did the Prophet ﷺ say to your father concerning the Night of Decree? He said: My father was a desert dweller, so he said: O Messenger of Allah, command me with a night in which I should come down (from the desert). He said: Come down on the twenty-third night. When he turned away, he said: “Seek it in the last ten.”
