حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: نَا الْحَكَمُ قَالَ: نَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قُلْنَا:
قَدْ عَلِمْنَا كَيْفَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ، فَكَيْفَ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ: قُولُوا: اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ وَبَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
Translation

✧ "We have learned how to greet you with peace, so how do we invoke blessings upon you?" He said: "Say: O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, and bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent prayers and blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious."
