حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَ: نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الْأَشْهَلِيِّ قَالَ:

أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ سَيْفٌ مِنْ نَجْرَانَ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ عَلَيْهِ أَعْطَاهُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ مَسْلَمَةَ فَقَالَ: جَاهِدْ بِهَذَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، فَإِذَا اخْتَلَفَتْ أَعْنَاقُ النَّاسِ فَاضْرِبْ بِهِ الْحَجَرَ، ثُمَّ ادْخُلْ بَيْتَكَ فَكُنْ حِلْسًا مُلْقًى حَتَّى تَقْتُلَكَ كَفٌّ خَاطِئَةٌ، أَوْ تَأْتِيَكَ مَنِيَّةٌ قَاضِيَةٌ

✧ A sword from Najran was gifted to the Prophet ﷺ. When it came to him, he gave it to Muhammad b. Maslamah and said: 'Fight with this in the path of Allah. When the necks of the people differ, strike the stone with it, then enter your house and remain like a thrown saddlecloth until an erring hand kills you or an appointed death comes to you.'
