حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي الْحَارِثِ قَالَ: نَا دَاوُدُ الْمُحَبَّرُ قَالَ: نَا صَالِحٌ الْمُرِّيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ لَيُذْنِبُ ذَنْبًا، فَإِذَا ذَكَرَهُ أَحْزَنَهُ مَا صَنَعَ، فَإِذَا نَظَرَ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ قَدْ أَحْزَنَهُ مَا صَنَعَ غَفَرَ لَهُ

Translation

✧ Indeed the servant commits a sin, and when he remembers it, what he has done grieves him. And when Allah sees that what he has done has grieved him, He forgives him.
