✧ From ʿUrwah b. al-Zubayr, that he came to Ibn ʿAbbās and said: O Ibn ʿAbbās, how long have you led people astray! He said: And what is that, O ʿUrayyah? He said: A man enters the state of iḥrām for Hajj or ʿUmrah, and when he has performed the circumambulation, you claim that he is released from iḥrām, but Abū Bakr and ʿUmar used to forbid that. He said: Are they, woe to you, more preferable to you than what is in the Book of Allah and what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prescribed for his companions and his nation? ʿUrwah said: They were more knowledgeable of the Book of Allah and what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prescribed than I and you. Ibn Abī Mulaykah said: So ʿUrwah refuted him.
