حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَنْبَرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا مُوسَى بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الْمَرَائِيُّ قَالَ: نَا أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ قُدَامَةَ قَالَ:
هَاجَرَ أَبِي صَفْوَانُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، وَهُوَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَبَايَعَهُ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ، فَمَدَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِلَيْهِ يَدَهُ، فَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهَا، فَقَالَ لَهُ صَفْوَانُ: إِنِّي أُحِبُّكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ
Translation

✧ My father Safwan migrated to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in Madinah and pledged allegiance to him upon Islam. The Prophet ﷺ extended his hand to him and wiped it, and Safwan said to him: “I love you, O Messenger of Allah.” The Prophet ﷺ said to him: “A person is with the one he loves.”
