✧ I used to write down the revelation for the Messenger of God ﷺ. When revelation came down upon him, he was seized by intense distress and sweated profusely like pearls, then it was relieved from him. I would enter upon him with a piece of shoulder blade or a fragment and write while he dictated to me. I would not finish until my leg was about to break from the weight of the Quran, and until I said: I will never walk on my leg again. When I finished, he said: 'Read it,' and I would read it. If there was an omission in it, he would correct it, then I would go out with it to the people.
