حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مَهْدِيٍّ سَعِيدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ أُمِّ عِصْمَةَ الْعَوْصِيَّةِ، امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَعْمَلُ ذَنْبًا، إِلَّا وَقَفَ الْمَلَكُ الْمُوَكَّلُ بِإِحْصَاءِ ذُنُوبِهِ ثَلَاثَ سَاعَاتٍ، فَإِنِ اسْتَغْفَرَ اللهَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ ذَلِكَ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ تِلْكَ السَّاعَاتِ، لَمْ يُوقَفْ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

✧ There is no Muslim who commits a sin except that the angel entrusted with recording his sins waits for three hours. If he seeks Allah’s forgiveness for that sin within any of those hours, it will not be held against him on the Day of Resurrection.
