Translation

✧ I asked Ibn ʿUmar about a man who divorced his wife while she was menstruating. He said: “Do you know ʿAbd Allah b. ʿUmar? I divorced my wife while she was menstruating, so ʿUmar came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him. He said: ‘Command him to take her back, then when she becomes pure, let him divorce her if he wishes at the beginning of her waiting period.’” I said: “Does she count that divorce?” He said: “What else?”
