حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قَالَ: نَا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ: نَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ طَرِيفٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ. عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

اللهُ يَتَوَفَّى الأَنْفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا قَالَ: " تَلْتَقِي أَرْوَاحُ الْأَحْيَاءِ وَالْأَمْوَاتِ فِي الْمَنَامِ، فَيَتَسَاءَلُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ، فَيُمْسِكُ اللهُ أَرْوَاحَ الْمَوْتَى وَيُرْسِلُ أَرْوَاحَ الْأَحْيَاءِ إِلَى أَجْسَادِهَا

✧ God takes the souls at the time of their death. He said: "The souls of the living and the dead meet in sleep, and they ask one another. Then God withholds the souls of the dead and sends the souls of the living back to their bodies."
