حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ قَالَ: نَا حَفْصُ بْنُ جُمَيْعٍ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ. عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِقَوْمٍ قَدْ نَصَبُوا دَجَاجَةً يَرْمُونَهَا، فَاخْتَلَعَهَا، وَقَالَ: " مَنِ اتَّخَذَ شَيْئًا فِيهِ الرُّوحُ غَرَضًا لَمْ يَمُتْ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى تُصِيبَهُ قَارِعَةٌ ".

✧ He passed by some people who had set up a chicken as a target and were shooting at it. He took it away and said: Whoever takes anything in which there is a soul as a target will not die in this world until a calamity befalls him.
