حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ. عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَخَذَهَا الْعَدُوُّ، وَقَدْ كَانُوا أَصَابُوا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ نَاقَةً لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَرَأَتْ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ غَفْلَةً، فَرَكِبَتْ نَاقَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، وَنَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَنْحَرَ نَاقَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ، فَقَالَ: بِئْسَ مَا جَزَيْتِهَا، لَا نَذْرَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ، وَلَا فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ

Translation

✧ A Muslim woman was captured by the enemy. They had previously captured a she-camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She saw a moment of negligence from the people, mounted the she-camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and vowed to slaughter the she-camel of the Messenger of Allah. He said: "What a bad reward you have given it! There is no vow for the son of Adam in what he does not own, nor in disobedience to Allah."
