✧ Abū Shuʿayb had a servant who was a butcher. When he saw the hardship that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions were enduring, he ordered his servant to bring them meat enough for five, and he sent word to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: Come to us as the fifth of five. He came, but a sixth person was with them. When they reached Abū Shuʿayb's door, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: You sent for me and five others, but this man followed us. If you give him permission, he will enter; otherwise he will return. Abū Shuʿayb said: I have given permission; let him enter, O Messenger of Allah.
