أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بُشْرَانَ, أَنَا أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ السَّمَّاكِ, ثَنَا حَنْبَلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ, ثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ, ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ, عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ, عَنِ الْحَسَنِ:
أَنَّ سَعْدًا دَخَلَ عَلَى سَلْمَانَ, فَبَكَى فَقِيلَ لَهُ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ, مَا يُبْكِيكَ؟ قَالَ: مَا أَبْكِي صَبَابَةً إِلَيْكُمْ, وَلَا رَغْبَةً فِي دُنْيَاكُمْ, وَلَكِنِّي أَبْكِي عَلَى عَهْدٍ عَهِدَهُ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ, قَالَ: " لِيَكُنْ بَلَاغُ أَحَدِكُمْ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا كَزَادِ الرَّاكِبِ "
