أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي الدُّنْيَا، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْكَاهِلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ التَّيْمِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْأَعْلَى التَّيْمِيَّ،
يَقُولُ لِجَارٍ لَهُ قَدْ حَضَرَهُ الْمَوْتُ: " أَيَا فُلَانٍ لِيَكُنْ جَزَعُكَ لَمَا بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ جَزَعِكَ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ، وَأَعِدَّ لَعَظِيمِ الْأُمُورِ حُسْنَ الظَّنِّ بِاللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ "
