He said: Ibn Jurayj said, from Ibrāhīm b. Muḥammad, from Mūsā b. Wardān, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "Whoever dies as a stranger dies a martyr, is protected from the two interrogators of the grave, and his provision from Paradise is brought to him morning and evening." Ibrāhīm b. Abī Yaḥyā al-Aslamī was alone in narrating it, and indeed Abū ʿAbdillāh al-Ḥāfiẓ informed us: Daʿlaj b. Aḥmad informed us: Aḥmad b. ʿAlī al-Abbār narrated to us: Ibn Abī Sakīnah al-Ḥalabī narrated to us, he said: I heard Ibrāhīm b. Abī Yaḥyā say: May God judge between me and Mālik b. Anas; he called me a Qadarī. As for Ibn Jurayj, his hadith is: "Whoever dies as a guard at the frontier (murābiṭ) dies a martyr," and he attributed me to my grandfather on my father's side. Ibrāhīm b. Abī ʿAṭāʾ said: I said: Thus Ibn Jurayj said in some of the narrations: from Ibrāhīm b. Abī ʿAṭāʾ.
