أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْبُرُلُّسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ
قَالَ: " غَزَوْنَا فَمَرَرْنَا بِأَجَمَةٍ فِي مَكَانٍ مُخَوَّفٍ فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ نَائِمٌ عِنْدَ فَرَسِهِ قُلْنَا: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ مَا لَكَ؟ قَالَ: وَمَا لِي؟ قُلْنَا: فِي مِثْلِ هَذَا الْمَكَانِ تَنَامُ؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَسْتَحِي مِنْ رَبِّي أَنْ يَعْلَمَ أَنِّي أَخَافُ شَيْئًا غَيْرَهُ "
