He said: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ complaining about his neighbor. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: "Throw your belongings on the road, or in the road." So he threw them out, and the people began to pass by them cursing him. Then he came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God, what I have met from the people! He said: "And what have you met from them?" He said: They curse me. He said: "God, Mighty and Majestic, has already cursed you before the people." He said: I will never do it again, O Messenger of God. He said: Then the one who had complained came to the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him: "Take up your belongings, for you are now safe," or: "you have been spared." And another than him said, from ʿAlī b. Ḥakīm: "Indeed God's curse is above their curse."
