أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ, أنا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَصْرِيُّ, نا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ, قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ عَثَّامٍ,
يَقُولُ: قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ: " اتَّقُوا السُّلْطَانَ فَإِنَّ السُّلْطَانَ يَغْضَبَ غَضِبَ الصَّبِيِّ, وَيَبْطِشُ بَطْشَةَ الْأَسَدِ "
