أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَلِيٍّ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ أَحْمَدَ الْكَرَابِيسِيَّ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ الدَّغُولِيَّ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ الْمُظَفَّرِيَّ،
يَقُولُ: " اتَّقِ شَرَّ مَنْ يَصْحَبُكَ لِنَائِلَةٍ، فَإِنَّهَا إِذَا انْقَطَعَتْ عَنْهُ لَمْ يَعَذُرْ، وَلَمْ يُبَالِ مَا قَالَ وَمَا قِيلَ فِيهِ "
