أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ الدُّورِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ الْمُرِّيِّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي آخِرِ عُمْرِهِ: " اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَزْنِيَ، أَوْ أَعْمَلَ بِكَبِيرَةٍ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ يَقُولُ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِهِ: يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَمِثْلُكَ يَقُولُ: هَذَا وَيَخَافُهُ وَقَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِنَ السِّنِّ مَا بَلَغْتَ وَانْقَطَعَتْ عَنْكَ الشَّهَوَاتِ، وَقَدْ شَافَهْتَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَبَايَعْتَهُ، وَأَخَذْتَ عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ: وَيْحَكَ وَمَا يُؤَمِّنُنِي وَإِبْلِيسَ حَيٌّ "
